The Run Through History 4 Miler and 1 mile Kids Fun Run will be the highlight of the The Vail Preservation Society's 2009 "Between the Tracks" Festival. They will be honoring Vail Pioneers. Come enjoy the parade live music, food, living history, and much, much more.

Colossal Cave 5k Road Race

Day of race registration and bib number pick up will be from 6:00 - 6:55 a.m. Cars must be in the Park by 6:45 a.m. The gate will be closed for the race. The run will start at La Posta Quemada Ranch
The beauty of the Sonoran Desert and gorgeous mountain ranges will be all around you with views of the stone ramada at the Cave and the City of Tucson to the west. All participants will get free entrance into the Park, t-shirt to pre-registered only by 5/31/09, pass for a tour of Colossal Cave and refreshments. Awards will be three deep in all age groups. We hope you come out bring the family and make a day at the Park.

The run will benefit The CCC Museum at Colossal Cave Mountain Park.

Directions to Colossal Cave Mountain Park:

From East 22nd Street, turn south onto scenic Old Spanish Trail and follow it about 17 miles to Colossal Cave Mountain Park.
Or, take I-10 east from Tucson to exit 279 (the Vail/Wentworth exit), turn north, and follow the signs for about 7 miles.
